CALL FOR PAPERS
METRON Special Issue
Shaping the Future of Statistical Sciences
Associated with the SIS–FENStatS 2026 Joint Meeting
The METRON Journal will publish a Special Issue associated with the
Joint Meeting SIS–FENStatS 2026, comprising the
53rd Scientific Meeting of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) and the
1st Conference of the Federation of European National Statistical Societies (FENStatS),
held in Rome, Italy, from 22 to 25 June 2026.
This Special Issue aims to collect high-quality contributions presenting recent advances
and review articles in statistical methodology, computational statistics,
data science, and innovative real-world applications. Both theoretical and applied
papers addressing contemporary challenges in statistics and related fields are welcome.

Submission Information
Authors and participants of SIS–FENStatS 2026 are invited to submit
original research papers, methodological contributions, review articles,
and innovative applications related to the topics of the Special Issue.
The Special Issue is also open to researchers working in the above areas,
regardless of their participation in the conference.
All manuscripts submitted to this Special Issue will undergo the journal’s
standard double-blind peer-review process.
